What a neat analogy. That’s very much the way I write.
It struck me because I was working a Sudoku at the same time I was trying to pull a story together!
I couldn’t agree more with your analogy. Writing is definitely a puzzle, with which we constantly rearrange our words, characters, even plots till they resemble a whole. (Hugs)Indigo
Indigo: I love that image of rearranging all elements of the story. It’s very true; I’m doing it today to a story I thought completely finished. And each change effects other elements.
